The world that is New York City is fast paced and hectic to an outsider. One thing I noticed while spending time with Mary and John was that none of the swirls of the busy life that surrounds them mattered much at all. Life, to them, was each other. There were moments where I caught a glimpse of their love like riding the subway to Brooklyn I sat across from them and not a second did they let go of each other’s hands. It was such a heart warming experience.

Phil owns Three Six One Studios, which is a design and development firm here in Columbus, Ohio. After getting to know him I learned that we actually collaborate with a few of the same commercial clients.

One of the strongest traits that I admire most about Phil and Sheria is their commitment to working hard at their career and their relationship. When it comes to Sheria, she’s got the heart of gold and absolutely the kindest person ever, which suites her completely as a pediatrician at OSU. I just love the way they laugh and share such an immense joy when they’re together.

Here’s a look at a few favorites from our time together at the Columbus Zoo…

In certain Asian cultures it is customary to see each other in the wedding attire before the ceremony and Cathy and Andy looked absolutely stunning in theirs.

Cathy/Andy – thank you both so much for having me photograph your beautiful beginning together. I wish you both nothing but love for your wedding day.

- Back in May, Angela was a bridesmaid in Brynn and Jeff’s wedding
- Randy and I grew up in the same hometown.
- Randy’s parents are neighbors with Lindsey’s parents (I had the great honor of photographing Lindsey and Chad’s wedding in 2005).
- Chad is cousins with Brian (I also had the privilege of photographing Brian and Jamie’s wedding in 2007).

It is with great pride that I have the opportunity to meet and become friends with such incredibly amazing people.

There are people who live life and experience joy in ways that others don’t. Angela and Randy are no exception. They absolutely adore each other to pieces. You can see it in the way they hold each other tightly, the delight in their laughter, and the kiss they share.

Angela and Randy, thank you for opening up your hearts and allowing me to capture it all – can’t wait to be part of your special day.

We started our day at Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, had brunch at Toast Bakery Café, and then took a trip to Laguna Beach.  We ended our session at Montage Beach & Resort, which had one of the most amazing views ever. It was definitely a day filled with adventure and laughs. This trip without doubt topped the fun chart. Thank you Angela and Reza for showing us a great time.

Here’s a quick peek from Maggie and Joe’s engagement shoot. There’s nothing better than a personalized session that truly represents who they are as a couple. These two immersed themselves in a great book, great wine, and the best company…each other.

We had hoped for a little bit of sunshine but instead got the beautiful Ohio rain that we’re all too familiar with. We were a little reluctant at first but Erin and Michael were so courageous and daring, we went for it.

Shooting in the rain was an absolute blast. Erin and Michael – thank you both so much for your playful energy.
