karen & timm’s wedding . buffalo, new york

Her close friends and family surrounded her as she sat there patiently waiting to see her groom. I saw complete happiness in her eyes and I knew that this was going to be a day she’ll always remember.

As I was going from one room to the next embracing every moment with my camera I noticed that Timm was quite relaxed. He, too, knew that this day would be one they’ll always share. The anticipation, the planning, the details, all of it … came down to this, and he was ready for his bride.

This past October, Karen and Timm exchanged their promises to each other at St. Vincent DePaul in Buffalo, New York. As luck would have it, the rain came down with no end in sight. Our luck eventually changed and the rain stopped. Subsiding only for a brief moment but long enough for us to capture Karen and Timm together in their element.

The celebration that followed took place at the Pearl Street Grill and Brewery. Earthy, rustic, and genuine was my first impression of the venue. It was quite fitting for a couple whose characters can be summed up as such. It was an amazing party for sure. Later toward the end of the night we decided to take on the rain capturing some really playful images of them embracing every drizzle that fell on that cold October’s eve.

Jamie - GREAT pictures Monty!

Open Image Studio - Vicki … too kind, thank you. That was one of my favorite moments with them that day. Totally happy and carefree.

Itinerant Studio - LOVE the triptych of the two of them in the rain by the street light! The warm glow, the rain still in motion falling from the sky, their delighted faces…everything is perfect.
Beautiful work.
Vicki
