The story of the Fortune Cookie, in their own words – It was winter of 2007 and Kristy and Jay were finishing a meal at a Chinese restaurant. Kristy opened her fortune cookie and the fortune read: “Remember three months from this date. Good things are in store for you.” Without much thought, she smiled at what she read and discarded the fortune.
Nearly three months from that day Kristy and Jay were again dining at a Chinese restaurant. Unbeknownst to Kristy, Jay kept that first fortune and handed it back to her along with an engagement ring. Kristy accepted the proposal and fulfilled the fortune promised three months earlier.
This past July, Kristy and Jay completed their fortune and got married at the North Broadway United Methodist Church in Columbus. As July would have it, it rained again for the third straight weekend. Kristy and Jay were prepared though with umbrellas for everyone in the wedding party. Before heading over to the Double Tree Hotel we made a quick stop at the Park of Roses for a few fun shots in the prairie.

One of my favorite image of Jay's daughter.

With the rain outside the bubbles came inside.

Braving the elements in their bare feet.

One last stop at the Winking Lizard for a celebratory drink.
