When I was preparing this post I remembered a poem that Robert Sexton wrote that perfectly describes the relationship between brothers and sisters. Robert Sexton happens to be my favorite author, poet, and artist. I think he said it best when he wrote about children of the summer in his book, Journeys of the Human Heart…
“With brothers and sisters; with companions and friends; the passage of time is measured only by the increasing richness of the memories we share. By the joining of our hearts, we transcend age and retain both our sense of play and our freedom to become all that we are. We will always be children in the time of the heart; for trust never ages, and love has no end.”
These images of Addi and Carson truly remind me the importance of innocence and play. And, they’re so darn cute…

This is Addi being camera shy - how adorable.

They spotted a bunny in the garden - how cute is this?
