One of the greatest gifts of being a wedding photographer is having the opportunity to take part in one of the most sacred moments in life. Wedding ceremonies are unlike any other event in the world. I’m sure you’ll agree there’s just something about weddings that ignite the spirit within all of us giving us a sense of renewal and passage.
I had the extreme honor of photographing Tara and Ryan’s wedding this past July at the Powell United Methodist church. July in Columbus, as we know, was a moody month to say the least with its indecisive changes in weather. The rain came and went. For a brief moment it went far enough away for us to capture the fun and spontaneity of Tara, Ryan, and their friends.
We ended our day at the Creekside Conference and Event Center in Gahanna. The décor was eloquently simple and the food was amazing. I think Tara’s love of food and Ryan being in the gourmet catering business may have had an influence. Nonetheless, all who were there to celebrate left knowing the love that Tara and Ryan share is one that will always be unbreakable. Here’s a peek at a few from their day…

Tara and Ryan seeing each other for the first time during their intimate reveal, love it.
